What We Do :

At Rulon Strength, we incorporate old school techniques to increase our strength and conditioning.

While our exercises may change from week to week our "gym" stays the same, as does our equipment.

We train outdoors and breath in deep fresh country air. Our equipment includes:

-Kettlebells (from 9 lbs to 106 lbs)

-Tires (from 459lbs tractor tires to car tires)

-Field Stones (47 lbs, 117 lbs, 136lbs, 190 lbs)

-Atlas Stone (257 lbs)

-Sledge hammers

-Medicine Balls

-Jump Ropes

-Grippers and other hand strength tools

-Bodyweight training

A typical workout includes a warm up of some kind. I like shadow boxing and walking knees as they really get your blood pumping.

Next we'll practice movements. Typically we use kettlebells in our movements but not always.

Finally we'll workout with a circuit. I prefer circuits because everyone can work to his or her own pace. We train with everyone from professional fighters to stay at home moms to weekend warriors. Anyone who wants to train is welcome to workout with us.

When we finish the circuit, we'll either do something I call the Buddy Walk or we'll run a mile. The buddy walk is a mile walk with a partner where you and your partner will take turns carrying a weight. I enjoy doing this walk while carrying the 47 lbs (we've used a 117lbs stone before) field stone. We have used various size kettlebells, rocks, medicine balls & even a heavy bag. They all work you differently and all are beneficial.

The only thing I don't allow at my workouts is large egos. If you are too good to help out your fellow trainees or work cooperatively with them, then you have no place training with me.

That's it. It is pretty simple. Work hard and get stronger.
